Smartlead, Woodpecker, Saleshandy, Apollo.io, Snov.io, Mailshake and GMass each fit a narrower case, covered below.

lemlist per month–
Prices from lemlist's pricing page, checked 12 October 2026. Multichannel includes 5 senders per user; extra senders are priced at $9 a month each, as the page said on that date (it no longer lists the price, so confirm with lemlist). The Email plan's card lists unlimited users and senders, but lemlist's FAQ says pricing is based on the number of users, so both figures are shown for a team.

lemlist pricing in 2026
lemlist renamed and simplified its plans, and a lot of articles still quote the old ones (Email Starter, Email Pro, Multichannel Expert). Here is what lemlist’s pricing page lists today:
| Plan | Monthly | Billed yearly | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| $69/month | $55/month | Unlimited users and sending addresses, 50,000 emails a month, lead database, lemwarm | |
| Multichannel | $109/month per user | $87/month per user | 5 sending addresses per user, unlimited emails, LinkedIn automation, SMS, a built-in dialer |
| Enterprise | On request | On request | 5+ senders per user, SSO, custom roles, account manager |
A few things the price tag doesn’t show:
- lemwarm is now included in every plan. If a comparison tells you to add $29 for warm-up, it’s out of date.
- Data costs extra. Finding emails and phone numbers uses credits. The enrichment add-on is $20 a month for 2,000 credits, and buying-intent signals are $29 a month.
- Multichannel scales per seat. Three people on Multichannel billed yearly is $261 a month before any add-ons.
- No free plan. The 14-day trial needs no card.
Why people look for an alternative
The reasons repeat across review sites: the price once a team grows or uses credits heavily, an interface with a learning curve, and support that some users find slow. lemlist is a capable product. It just bundles a lot (LinkedIn, calls, a lead database) that many teams don’t use, and they end up paying for all of it.
The 10 best lemlist alternatives
1. Instantly: best for high-volume cold email
Instantly is built around sending a lot of cold email from many mailboxes, which is why agencies and outbound teams often move to it from lemlist.
- Price: Growth $47/month ($37.60 billed yearly) for 1,000 contacts and 5,000 emails a month; Hypergrowth $97/month for 25,000 contacts and 125,000 emails; Light Speed $358/month for 500,000 emails.
- Pros:
- unlimited email accounts on every plan, so adding mailboxes doesn’t raise the bill;
- unlimited warm-up included from the entry plan;
- scales a long way, up to 500,000 emails a month before Enterprise;
- 14-day free trial without a card.
- Cons:
- the lead database is a separate credits product (from $47/month on top);
- email only: its pricing page lists no LinkedIn or call steps;
- only 1,000 uploaded contacts on the entry plan;
- user reviews report billing and cancellation disputes and chatbot-first support.
2. Reply.io: the closest multichannel replacement
If you use lemlist Multichannel for LinkedIn steps and calls, Reply.io is the most direct swap: email, LinkedIn, calls and SMS in one sequence.
- Price: Email Volume plan from $59/month; Multichannel from $99/month; an agency plan from $166/month. LinkedIn is a $69/month add-on per account, calls and SMS $29/month, extra email accounts $29/month each.
- Pros:
- genuine multichannel sequences (email, LinkedIn, calls, SMS);
- an agency plan for managing several clients;
- an AI SDR option if you want it to handle more of the work;
- 14-day free trial.
- Cons:
- the add-ons stack up quickly once you need LinkedIn and calls;
- the pricing page shows “starts from” prices without making per-user terms clear;
- user reviews mention a learning curve and integration bugs;
- some reviewers report billing problems with annual plans.
3. Mailpitcher: best on price, and built for AI assistants
Mailpitcher is an email client with outreach built in: you read and answer all your mailboxes (Gmail, Outlook, Porkbun, GoDaddy or any IMAP host) in one inbox, and run personalized campaigns from those same mailboxes. Its two biggest advantages are the price and the MCP server.
- Price: Solo is $7.99/month ($79/year) for up to 3 mailboxes, and Pro is $12.99/month ($129/year) for unlimited mailboxes. Pro costs under a fifth of lemlist’s Email plan, with no credits or per-email fees. There’s also a free, read-only plan.
- MCP server (Pro): connect Claude or any MCP-compatible AI assistant with a personal token, and it can search and read your mail, write drafts, send, and create and start campaigns, within the same daily caps and checks you have. lemlist also lists MCP access; Mailpitcher includes it at $12.99 a month.
- Pros:
- campaigns with up to 4 follow-ups that stop the moment someone replies, also available on single emails (up to 3) from your normal inbox;
- you choose who gets each send and set the pause between emails yourself;
- a board per client with stages, agreed prices and live links;
- mail is sent from your own mailbox, so replies and reputation stay yours.
- Cons:
- no lead database, no LinkedIn or calls;
- no open and click tracking; A/B tests cover subject lines only, judged on replies;
- no warm-up network (new mailboxes are held to 50 emails a day for their first three days, then a default cap of 100).
MCP access tokens
Give an AI tool (like Claude) its own token to read your mail and run outreach on your behalf. It works through the same limits and safeguards as the app.
4. Smartlead: best for agencies
Smartlead is popular with agencies because every plan allows unlimited mailboxes and you can white-label it for clients. We break down every plan and add-on in Smartlead pricing.
- Price: Base $39/month ($32 yearly) for 2,000 active contacts and 6,000 emails; Pro $94/month for 30,000 contacts and 90,000 emails; Unlimited Smart $174/month.
- Pros:
- unlimited mailboxes and warm-up on every plan;
- white-label client workspaces from Pro ($29 each);
- API, webhooks and a CRM from Pro;
- 14-day trial without a card.
- Cons:
- Base has no API, webhooks or CRM, so the practical starting price is $94;
- add-ons (new mailboxes, inbox-placement tests, dedicated IPs) are extra and never refunded;
- email only;
- user reviews mention slow support and mailboxes disconnecting.
5. Woodpecker: best if you pay per prospect
Woodpecker prices by how many prospects you contact each month, not by seats or mailboxes, which suits small teams with uneven volume.
- Price: from $35/month for 500 contacted prospects (8,000 emails), $67 for 2,000, $99 for 4,000. Annual billing saves about a third.
- Pros:
- you pay for prospects contacted, not for seats or mailboxes;
- unlimited email accounts and team members;
- email verification included;
- optional LinkedIn steps ($29/month per LinkedIn account).
- Cons:
- free warm-up covers a limited number of accounts per tier, then $5 per account;
- the API and integrations are a $20/month add-on;
- the trial ends after 14 days or 100 cold emails, whichever comes first;
- user reviews mention limited integrations and reporting, and billing after cancelling.
6. Saleshandy: best budget cold email with a lead finder
- Price: Saleshandy Starter is $41/month ($34 yearly) for 2,000 active prospects, 6,000 emails and 1,500 lead-finder credits; Pro is $99/month.
- Pros:
- warm-up included on every plan;
- lead-finder credits included, so you can find contacts without a second tool;
- no per-inbox fees;
- calls, LinkedIn and WhatsApp tasks listed alongside email.
- Cons:
- only a 7-day trial;
- the pricing page is inconsistent about how many sender accounts each plan can rotate (10, 100 and 1,000 are listed);
- email verification uses extra credits;
- user reviews rate its reporting and warm-up as basic.
7. Apollo.io: best if you need the data too
Apollo is a contact database first, with email sequences on top. It’s the only tool here with a free plan that can send campaigns.
- Price: free plan with no time limit; Apollo’s pricing page lists Basic at $49 a month and Professional at $99.
- Pros:
- a large B2B contact database and sequences in one tool;
- a free plan that never expires;
- credits cover emails, phone numbers and warm-up from one pool.
- Cons:
- the free plan connects Gmail only;
- credits are pooled across the team and don’t roll over;
- every seat must be on the same plan;
- user reviews question data accuracy outside the US and how fast credits run out.
8. Snov.io: best for prospecting on a small budget
- Price: Snov.io Starter is $39/month with 1,000 credits, 5,000 recipients and 3 warm-up slots; Pro S is $99/month. A free trial plan renews every 30 days with 50 credits and 100 recipients.
- Pros:
- email finder, verifier and sequences in one place;
- unlimited sender accounts;

- Price: Mailshake Starter is $29/month ($25 yearly) with 1 sending address and 1,500 sends; Email Outreach is $49/month with 2 addresses and unlimited sends; Sales Engagement is $99/month with 10 addresses and a power dialer.
- Pros:
- quick to learn;
- unlimited contacts and warm-up on every plan;
- unlimited sends from the Email Outreach plan up;
- a built-in dialer on Sales Engagement.
- Cons:
- no free trial: payment is taken up front;
- priced per user, with few sending addresses per seat;
- extra mailboxes cost $12/month each;
- user reviews mention a dated interface and CRM integration issues.
10. GMass: best for sending from inside Gmail
- Price: GMass Standard is $29.95/month ($20 yearly), but follow-up sequences need Premium at $39.95/month ($29 yearly); Professional is $59.95/month.
- Pros:
- works inside the Gmail interface you already use;
- quick to start, with a 7-day trial;
- A/B tests and an API on Premium;
- inbox rotation across accounts on Professional.
- Cons:
- Gmail only, and each sending account needs its own subscription;
- no follow-ups on the cheapest plan;
- its warm-up service has ended;
- user reviews report spam placement and account suspensions at volume.
How to choose
- You live in LinkedIn as much as email: Reply.io, or Woodpecker with its LinkedIn add-on.
- You send thousands of cold emails a day across many domains: Instantly or Smartlead.
- You need contacts as well as a sender: Apollo.io or Snov.io.
- You want the lowest price, or an AI assistant to run your outreach: Mailpitcher.
- You only ever send from one Gmail account: GMass.
Whatever you pick, keep the basics that protect your domain: a sensible daily cap per mailbox, follow-ups that stop on reply, and clean lists. Those matter more than any feature table.
Questions people ask
Is lemlist better than Instantly?

Is lemlist better than Apollo?
They're built for different starting points. Apollo is a contact database first, with sequences on top and a free plan that sends from Gmail. lemlist is an outreach tool first, with stronger multichannel sequences and its own lead database on every plan.
Can I use lemlist for free?
No. lemlist offers a 14-day free trial without a card, which includes the Multichannel features except in-app calls and 200 credits. After that you need a paid plan.
How much does lemlist cost per month?
The Email plan is $69 a month, or $55 a month billed yearly, with unlimited users and senders. Multichannel is $109 a month, or $87 billed yearly, per user. Enterprise is priced on request. Prices checked on lemlist.com on 12 October 2026.
Is lemwarm included in lemlist's price?
Yes. lemlist's pricing FAQ says lemwarm and its deliverability protections are included in all plans. Older articles that list lemwarm as a $29 add-on are out of date.
What is cheaper than lemlist?
For email-only outreach, Smartlead starts at $39 a month, Instantly at $47, Woodpecker at $35 for 500 contacted prospects, Mailshake at $29 and Mailpitcher at $7.99. Apollo.io and Snov.io have free plans with low limits.
Which lemlist alternative also does LinkedIn outreach?
Reply.io (LinkedIn as a $69 a month add-on per account), Woodpecker ($29 a month per LinkedIn account) and Snov.io ($69 a month per slot) all add LinkedIn steps to email sequences. Instantly, Smartlead, GMass and Mailpitcher are email-only.
How do I move from lemlist to another tool?
Every tool on this list imports contacts from a CSV file, so the usual route is to export your leads with their custom fields, import them into the new tool, and rebuild your sequences there. Finish or pause running campaigns first so nobody gets a duplicate email.
