Connectors / Proton Mail

Connect Proton Mail

Proton Mail offers IMAP and SMTP only through Proton Mail Bridge, a desktop app that runs a mail server on your own computer and needs a paid plan. A web app like Mailpitcher cannot reach it, so Proton can't be connected for now. Planned

Bridge creates a local email server on your computer; there are no public IMAP or SMTP servers to enter here.

Checked against the provider's documentation on 10 October 2026.

Connect in Mailpitcher

  1. Add the mailbox

Choose Proton, then enter your address and password. The settings above are filled in for you.

  2. Test the connection

Mailpitcher checks that it can read and send before it saves the mailbox. Each mailbox sends 100 emails a day by default, and 50 a day for its first 3 days.
