The sign-in link didn't arrive or doesn't work

No sign-in email, or the link says it expired? Where to look, how long to wait, and how to get a fresh link that works.

Mailpitcher signs you in with a link by email instead of a password. If the email doesn’t come, or the link doesn’t work, go through these steps in order.

The email didn’t arrive

Step 1: Wait a minute, then check spam

The email is called Your Mailpitcher sign-in link. It usually arrives within a minute. Look in Spam or Junk, and in Gmail’s Promotions or Updates tabs.

On the Check your inbox page there is a button that opens your webmail, for Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, iCloud, Proton and Zoho addresses.

After you click Continue with email. The link in the email works once, for 10 minutes.
  1. 1: Opens your webmail, for Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, iCloud, Proton and Zoho addresses
  2. 2: Typed the wrong address? Start again here

Step 2: Check the address

The page shows the address we sent to. A typo? Click try another address and type it again.

Step 3: Use the address you were invited with

Mailpitcher is in private beta. Only invited addresses get a link. Use the exact address the invite went to.

Step 4: Ask again, but not too often

Go back and click Continue with email again. For safety, Mailpitcher sends only a few links per address each hour. If you asked many times, wait an hour before trying again.

Step 5: Use the newest email

Each link works once, for 10 minutes. If the page says Sign-in link didn’t work, click Get a new link and use the newest email only.

Step 6: Open it in the same browser

Open the link in the browser where you want to use Mailpitcher. The page asks Continue as your address; click Continue.

Some company email systems open links to scan them. That’s fine: Mailpitcher waits for your click on Continue, so the scan doesn’t use up your link.

Step 7: Asked for a code?

With two-step sign-in on, Mailpitcher asks for a 6-digit code next. Open your authenticator app. No phone? Click Lost your phone? Use a backup code. See Two-step sign-in.

Still stuck? Email hello@mailpitcher.com from the address you are trying to sign in with.

Questions

How long does the sign-in link work?

10 minutes, and only once. After that, ask for a new one.

Why didn't I get a link at all?

Mailpitcher is in private beta: only invited addresses get a link, and the page looks the same either way, so nobody can test which addresses have accounts. Check the address you typed and your spam folder. If it still doesn't come, email hello@mailpitcher.com.
